"Nice hotel, but room was very small. Hard to place your suitcase anywhere and still have access to the things in the room. They have bike rental in the hotel, which was very convenient for us. Just make sure that you have enough air in tires ! We were biking with half flat tires, so when we reached downtown I was soooo tired. All bike stores were closed on our way and we did not have pump. "

The reply we received from the receptionist was very poor and not what we would expect fron this hotel. "We had a memorable stay at the Hotel Prisenhof. Centrally located in the heart of Gronigen, there were numerous shops, restaurants and points of interest all within walking distance. Our room was on the upper floor of what we learned was previously a monastery. It had a lovely view of the garden and was very spacious, although we wished it had more natural light. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. If you are driving, a tip is to park overnight at the Forum...

The people in the Hotel are very friendly, especially, Wesley (I hope I don't misspell his name) picked up my wife and me from Steenwirk train station. Although it has only a distance of one mile, it means great help if you have luggage and the taxi system is not very good in the city. You should try to call the hotel if you have luggage and they will help to pick up you. "
