Lovely modern hotel , central location to the city center.
Good selection at breakfast and ate at the hotel restaurant in the evening .
Exceptional meal.
Our stay was fantastic even though we had to shorten it unfortunately, we will definitely be coming back to Hotel Halbert. The staff was superb, very helpful and really friendly.
We stayed 2 nights in early Oct and appreciated the great location, hospitality and service. The rooms were spacious and comfortable- just ask for a better pillow. The buffet breakfast in the 3 dining rooms was also very good. We recommend.
We had a two night stay for a combined work and vacation stop in Groningen. This hotel was recommended to us by my local business contact and it was as good as imagined.
Outstanding service from the staff, great location in the heart of Groningen and a short walk to all of the nice restaurants and attractions, and comfortable rooms are all part of the offering.
The breakfast buffet is on par with most of the European deluxe class hotels. The rooms themselves are of average to slightly smaller sizes but good amenities inside the rooms.
If you’re traveling to Groningen this is the place to stay!
The most incredibly friendly staff... every single person. The breakfast was the thing to wake up to every day. Great connecting partner restaurant, Blume.
Wonderful, quirky boutique hotel.
We arrived late due to traffic. We’d booked Blume for dinner and they still seated us and gave us the most wonderful meal. The quality and flavours were on a par with Under restaurant in Lindesnes where we ate last week and is Michelin rated.
Service was very good.
Breakfast was good also.
Location is central, so walkable to everything Groningen has to offer.
Bit of a walk from the parking garage.
Very good location and great breakfast. Parking was easy to walk to but a little tricky to access with a car due to the street layout - but okay in the end.
Everything was excellent. The Buffett in the morning was perfect! The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We came to Groningen to see the city where, in 1945 the war ended while my Dad was with the Canadian Army liberating The Netherlands. I have a picture of him toasting the end of the war with a local man. He was 22 at the time. The city is beautiful and friendly.
Everything was nice, but in the standard rooms the bathroom is really close to the bed and the door doesn’t really close so you can hear everything. I would recommend this room to couples only.
