"Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Alverton. The room by the courtyard was very nice, and the bed super comfortable. Nice and quiet as well. The one thing that was a bit disappointing was the breakfast - we had decided to stick with the continental option, the buffet was limited, the toast we had ordered never arrived, and my mum’s gluten free toast got there only just before we left, more than half an hour in. I appreciate things can get busy, but it was unfortunate that there was no...
"This was the cleanest, best run hotel we have ever stayed. We were at Greenbank for six nights. Staff was fun and so helpful. We loved the restaurant, pub and upstairs area. Cannot say enough. Our view overlooking the harbour spectacular. Food excellent as well."
"Lovely hotel in excellent location, room was very comfortable, spacious with a newly refurbed bathroom. Lounge area served great food with a lovely atmosphere. Spa was fantastic although feel that as a hotel guest it should be at a reduced rate. Staff were all very friendly, breakfast a great selection. The only negative was we could hear next doors television late into the evening. Would definitely stay again."
"I really cannot comment on the amenities as we didn’t use any due to being out all day touring. Location was great and rooms were nice and clean. A nice stay indeed!"
"Breakfast options were plentiful and diverse. Nice bathroom facilities and a nice big bed with sufficient blankets and duvets. Location was a bit removed from harbour area but that meant it was quiet at night."
"Our holiday with my daughter as she celebrated her 18th birthday was brilliant, however I have a few disappointed during our staying in caravan, the caravan was nice, a wide area good atmosphere an so-rounding, the concern is the toilet there is no caddy soap, no rug on the floor, no WiFi. No free towels. But a part from that I love Cornwall, I will coming back again on the summer time next year."
"Generally the property was very nice.
The insruction for the front door after hours was a bit confusing. We got back to the hotel after hours and the fob did not work.
Had to bang on the front door to be let in.
It was only about 11.10 pm not that late."
"Terrible odor in hotel and room on arrival. Our window to harbor was adjacent to our neighbors room who could see right into our room if we kept window/door open . We checked in and left immediately. Very disappointing and hotel staff did not question why we were leaving after just checking in."
"We loved the location staff was helpful however there are signs of wear and tear everywhere. Worn carpets, chunks of plaster missing pieces of wood off the doors missing and non working light bulbs in the room. I’m hoping it’s because it’s the end of a busy season and they plan on repairing everything in the winter. Restaurant was nice but seemed a little understaffed. Had to get up and go to the bar to get a refill of my wine after waiting and waiting. Food was good"
"Cozy Inn in an amazing Cornish harbour location. Loved every minute sitting on the windowsill and watching the ongoings outside. Lovely cooked breakfast and traditional pub downstairs. Will come again!"
"Superb guesthouse in convenient location close to city centre. Close to bus routes too. Very accommodating owners. Lovely, clean room with everything you could ask for. Brilliant continental breakfast including cereals, pastries, toast, fruit/fruit salad, cheese and yoghurts. Cake and hot drinks also available during the day. Communal fridge is useful to keep your own food fresh. Really lovely experience with amazing hosts. Highly recommended!"
"I stayed two nights . Car park just up the lane is ample and free to use. On arrival spoke to the polite and helpful barman who was busy but showed my room & helped me with a few queries
Room was clean ,quiet and well equipped..also nice powerful shower .
I was out all day fishing leaving very early which wasnt a problem. I ate at the pub both nights . Great food and well kept ales .enjoyed meeting Brian and a few locals at his busy and entertaining quiz night . Wednesday night was curry...
