"We took a spontaneous trip to Malham Cove for a night away. This lovely hotel is down a quiet country road 1/2 a mile from the cove and near to several other pubs and cafes. The building is very old and reached over an old stone bridge or the beck (stream) Parking is available and the room was nicely furnished with views of the water and a very comfy bed. "Helpful and flexible with uncertainty over bookings, and the accommodation was at least satisfactory in general... but there was drastically inadequate parking for a full hostel, and we were not given all the necessary info about how to gain access to the buildings ! ( a helpful resident who happened to be up late saved us from standing outside in the cold and dark. Make sure the person on the desk not only gives over the FULL keypad entry number...but also HOW to access the key pad in order...

"Our welcome when we arrived was excellent. Liz was very helpful telling us sbout breakfast etc. Our room no 5 was quite spacious and had a nice view of the hillside of the dale. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Glenn was very efficient and knowledgeable about the area and made you feel relaxed with his banter. The en suite was a tad small but we managed ok. Will return and stay with them again at some point if we are visiting the area."

"Another wonderful stay at Stow House - a beautiful boutique hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. We stay in the Cowboy room - wonderful room with roll top bath and heaps of space, with fantastic views over the Dales! We keep returning due to the great hospitality… this will be our 4th stay and we will be back! Breakfast delicious. Decor is cool & stylish. Artwork on the walls. Lots of books. Honesty bar & cocktail hour with homemade cocktails from the Savoy cocktail book, kindly served in the bar...

"Very impressive property and very spacious. Log fire in the dining room and open fire in the living room. 3 large double bedrooms, 1 with en-suite & a smaller single bedded room. Underfloor heating to the ground floor and radiators upstairs - you will not be cold. It’s clear that the property has recently been renovated and there are a few minor bits that need finishing off. The property is showing signs of damp in places on some 1st floor external walls particularly around the windows but...
