"The location is great. Lots of restaurants nearby, 50 yards from a subway station, and a bust stop also very close. However, the room was just ok. Kitchen had no dishes or cookware, so it was pretty much a waste of space. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have endured in as long as I can remember. It served the purpose. One thing I found strange was that the reception desk said there was no breakfast. However, on the day I checked out, I saw people eating breakfast. Go figure. "

"Good stay. Celebrated 20th anniversary. Hotel very nice and generous to provide nice swan towel deco on bed plus a tasty spongy cream strawberry cake. Enjoyed the nice lake view and comfy bed. Convenient to walk at green path along the star lake and take boat ride. Hot spring/heated pools just downstairs. Good restaurants in hotel. "

"Good deal for the price paid. 10mins walk from Zumiao station whereby all the mall are around that area. Directly opposite Sofitel. Nothing around the hotel but a good 10mins walk bring you to all that you need. Linked train to Guangzhou, about 30mins. Compared to the other 4 star hotel - Sofitel and crown plaze, Golden city definitely stand up for 1/3 of the price. Gotta try the 顺德双皮奶 12rmb, really good. The Claypot rice 15rmb along the way to zumiao station from hotel is good too.. "

"今次12月20日入住是極度失望， 房間設施多方面壞掉包括房間溫泉浸浴出水不夠熱及空調不能製冷風， 技術人員來到亦不能修補！晚上沖涼沒有熱水，小朋友差點著涼，叫我們落去公衆浴室沖涼，小朋友及大人都愕然！為什麼我們訂這間溫泉酒店會是這樣安排，原本想讓小朋友在房間享受浸溫泉之樂，不想在那麼凍天氣走來走去及在公衆浴池與其他人聚集！最後在關池30分鐘唯有匆忙地到公衆浴室洗澡！酒店公關方面沒有作任何補償！如果只到公衆洗澡及浸溫泉，為何要訂住貴酒店，房間亦不便宜，但完全享用不到其設施，這是公關部失敗！只說句不好意思罷了完事！完全令我們不會再入住其酒店！ 金玉其外敗絮其中！"
