"I only stayed one night pre-cruise. The room was ok, clean. Iron board and iron was in the room so that was a plus. It suited my needs for the one night I was there. If there were any faults, it wouldn't have registered. I was way too tired to take notice. "

"This is our 5th stay pre cruise at the Doubletree Hilton, all very clean and service very good. Easy check in. Comfortable clean rooms, this time we stayed half board and evening meal was excellent value for money. Breakfast was good. Do think car parking should be free though for guests staying at the hotel overnight."

"Lovely hotel and room was lovely and clean and comfortable, yet the hotel itself could do with a good dust as the picture frames on the stairs etc looked quite dusty. 70% of the staff were very friendly and helpful however 30% were a bit robotic, however the service itself was very good. "

"Perfect stay with a spacious room, if you want room to move about opt for the superior double. Clean and bright room overlooking the courtyard, perfect weather and above all, perfect hosts."

"A lovely old property(150 years old) where they have kept some of the original features. I think it is due for an update in a few years but I hope they keep some of the original features. We stayed in the Coastguard cottages which were excellent but connected to the hotel with a covered walkway. The staff were excellent and very obliging. The evening meals were excellent although breakfasts were typical large hotel buffet style.i would still recommend it though."
