"We stayed at Clayton for our daughters 3rd birthday weekend, and when we got to the room there was a little surprise for our daughter, balloons and banners. This made ours and especially our daughters day. Thank you so much for that. Apart from this, the breakfast, the room and service are exceptional. Staff have been very accommodating to our requests. We will definitely stay here again."

"Excellent location next to the train station Upon arrival we was greeted by a very cheerful friendly receptionist called Dean that went out of his way to make us welcome and he upgraded our room which made our stay wonderful. The room was lovely and a great view of the city . The bed was so comfy which aided a good nights sleep "

"Very comfortable and convenient hotel. Easy to walk to from the railway station. Easy also to walk onto York centre to do tourist attractions. Loved the restaurant on the roof terrace. The downstairs restaurant was also excellent for dinner and for breakfast. We paid a little more for a club room which had a generous seating area and a city view."

"The hotel is is a great location and on a quiet street. Staff were very friendly and the room was lovely, a good size, very clean and with a really nice bathroom. Breakfast was good with lots of options. I would definitely recommend it. "

"The hotel was nice enough to hold our two large suitcases, while we travelled to Edinburgh. I don't think we would have survived Edinburgh if we had to carry around that baggage. Weird thing with return was that the room was a ways from our previous room, but was bigger with a nice bathtub."
