"Overall very good, staff were all great. A shame breakfast closes quite early and the quality wasn't much different to a 3*. Our kettle wasn't working properly and unfortunately there weren't any replacements available but otherwise everything was in good condition and very clean. Some food vending machines or a room service menu would be nice as there is not much for vegetarians locally."

"Staying in the classical style rooms in the main hotel is definitely the way to go here. Our room was spacious, charmingly appointed, and quiet. It's a bit of a walk into central Oxford, but we found this a welcome respite from the noise in the center. Would recommend to friends."

We went for a drink in the bar & receptionist said she would phone when ready. As we were attending a function from 14:00-18:00 3 miles away we waited until 17:25 but room was still not ready.
