"The style and age of the building was baroque and elegant, well maintained and a very comfortable room. Loved the bathroom and toiletries, and the maids kept the room very clean and adequately supplied with water and toiletries.
Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and cooked breakfast to order. Kitchen staff were very hard working, and ordering food could have been simplified, but when it did arrive was very well cooked.
The reception staff were very professional and exceedingly helpful...
"Ein tolles Hotel, inmitten der Altstadt. Alles war füßläufig zu erreichen. Frühstück war wirklich toll. Aber Qualität des Hauses wird durch das Personal übertroffen. Immer hilfsbereit und freundlich. auch bei aussergewöhnlichen Wünschen. Aufenthalt dort eine absolute Empfehlung !"
"Large older hotel, built in 1862 but renovated. Quiet. Situated in an historic park. Many bus tours stay here. Rooms are clean, fairly large and adequately equipped. Bed needs to be upgraded, mattress is hard and uncomfortable. Shower is in the bathtub, you need to step over the bathtub to access. Limited views from rooms. Convenient city bus stop not far from the main gate to access downtown and Ortigia. Free parking for those with rental cars. Breakfast is okay, typical large group...
"Room was okay, more like a well used holiday inn in the middle of nowhere. All amenities were closed. Pool was pretty gross. We booked a junior suite, and they gave us a standard room. We had to go back and say you gave us the wrong room. Then they said they over booked sorry. They gave us dinner one night but still pretty bad. Don't stay here if you want anything more than just an average bed."
"Room very clean, staff welcoming. Roof top terrace a bonus. 20 mins brisk walk to Ortigia. Plentiful breakfast but it would have been good to see real preserves and authentic pastries."
"Lovely hotel situated at the end of the Ortygia island. Staff where very friendly and helpful, especially a lady called Olympia. She recommended the sites to visit and the best restaurants to eat at.
We stayed in a classic twin room which was very clean and we had great views of the surrounding area. The mini-bar had some refreshing non-alcoholic drinks that were complimentary.
Breakfast had good choices and the area was pleasant to sit at, as you oversaw the nearby sea.

"This was a unique property out in the country, as part of a thoroughbred horse racing track. You could watch racing from your room. The property was clean but is generally getting tired and needs refreshing. The lobby area is noisy and that cascades down the halls and to the rooms. The pool areas are nice and well kept. The breakfast was wanting, with most items running out."
"Mainly a resort for Italians. Many staff don’t speak English so you’ll need to bear that in mind. Tired resort ready for a refresh, feeling a bit shabby. The all-inclusive drinks were very short- normal amounts of cheap alcohol in a small plastic cup with little room for ice or soft drink part- strong but not pleasant. Pizza restaurant on site was off the scale terrible: mixed fried starter was going back mainly uneaten from every table - it was straight from freezer bag to deep fat fryer junk....
"Nice property nested on the hill near beautiful beaches. All personnel were extremely kind and helpful. Great food. Clean beautiful room. Highly recommended for a long stay or for a base from where go sightseeing around"
"Chambre mal insonorisée, sdb vieillisante, accès baignoire dangereux, tirette de la pomme de douche difficile à actionner, pas de deco, chambre terne mais spacieuse.
On ne nous pas parlé du petit déjeuner non proposé.
Piscine non accessible dès 18h ce qui un comble en été
Parking fermé satisfaisant
Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel à 2km du centre. Tarif exorbitant compte tenu du cadre et des prestations."
"What an oasis to retreat to for a few nights during our 10 day Sicily road trip. Breakfast was excellent, the rooms and property were impeccably clean and inviting. Highly recommend."
