"We would return to this hotel, because in many ways it was lovely! Super park view, well organised breakfast, sky bar views, great location-we stayed 3 nights-great value for money. Car parking was not a problem, plenty of spaces but pricing confusing! We arrived at the car park 3-5pm and left 10.30-11am each day-and was charged £9 each day! The hotel said it was cheaper if they didn't endorse the ticket-so we didn't! I will add a photo of the car park notice-confusing! and the one at the hotel...

"Spa was excellent I had a room in The Paddocks and (as a single female) felt quite vulnerable on the 5 minute walk to and from the main building behind quite a tall hedge. Also my room wasn’t made up prior to the second night. The Poolside was lovely, staff were great and food/bar area all as expected. Will visit again (but ensure I’d be staying in the main building). "

"The staff were so friendly, so helpful--ordering us a taxi, explaining about the Oxford Bus to Heathrow, etc. The concept of turning a prison into a hotel--wow! Our room was fabulous. The whole setting and what has been done with this enormous golden stone building is so imaginative and fun. Great location for walking/shopping in Oxford. Close to everything."

"The staff were very welcoming and polite. There is ample parking. We stayed in a suite which was spacious, clean and had good amenities. There is a good sized swimming pool which has allocated children hours. There was a good selection at breakfast and you can also order off a menu too. The restaurant also provided a good selection for dinner. The hotel is in a good location and a short uber ride from Oxford city centre. "
