"We had a room with a queen bed. It had a cheap looking gray rug covering the carpet (assume there were stains on the carpet), and the room was otherwise quite plain - none of the regal looking draperies etc that we expected. There were obvious electrical problems in the hallways, as the overhead lights were not working, and there were lamps set up on little tables along the hallway. to provide light but were kind of pain to maneuver suitcases around. "We booked this stay as we planned to do some touring in the highlands. We are so grateful we did. Nairn is a wonderful small town with great people, without the bustle of Inverness. Our hosts were incredible and the property was truly 5 stars! The à la carte breakfast in the morning was a surprise and was delicious. An awesome start to the day!
