"Great breakfast and friendly staff"

"This resort lived up to our expectations. It was more expensive than other places, but they lived up to the expectation and went above and beyond in many different areas. We went for a honeymoon and they gave us many upgrades and made our experience really special. Food prices are high, but if you’re smart, you can still enjoy your time and pick some lower cost items that are fantastic."

"Pools were excellent"

"Great stay in La fortuna. Close to everything and beautiful grounds. We stayed in the Chato suite and it was awesome. People were all nice and even took us to see a sloth on the grounds. Breakfast was great. We would definitely recommend and will be back."

"Great experience. Wonderful view from the jetted tub of the volcano."

"Breath taking room"

"Unser Zimmer war war sehr ordentlich und sauber. Der Regenwald direkt vor dem Balkon sorgt natürlich für eine besondere Kulisse. Tukane und viele weitere Vögel können ständig beobachtet werden."

"We stayed for 7 days in October of 2026 and absolutely loved our time at the property! They were the most accommodating and helpful staff we’ve encountered in our travels and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed! They gave us a free bottle of wine since it was our honeymoon and a free gift basket with localized sweets and treats on our fourth night there. The food was delicious and all the staff were knowledgeable about the surrounding area and spoke English very...

"We had a great stay at Valle Escondido. Our room was very clean and the view was great. We got to see a lot of wildlife right by the building we were in because the resort was less busy in the rainy season, and we got lucky with the weather. We really enjoyed our night hike on the trails on the property - only wish it were longer! Overall, a great stay. Food was good although variety is a bit limited in the off season."

"Muy buen precio. Personal muy atento y servicial. Comida muy deliciosa. Gracias por todo."

"Awesome place, the amenities are fantastic, the hot springs pool are just wonderful, this is really a 5 star hotel. 100% recommended"

"The hotel was excellent and the trails on site were amazing. We saw a roving pack of coati"

"Everything was super lovely — we got a free upgrade to a premium suite. The staff was so nice and everything was incredible. Highly recommend."

"The hotel has the right kind of luxury for Monteverde, not flashy or high-tech, but everything is clean and nice, staff is helpful, the location is great and the place is beautiful. The sauna and the jacuzzi are GREAT, and we had monkeys crossing the trees above us while we relaxed there; the food is delicious. We loved our stay!"

"Great breakfast in the morning. Clean hotel. You can book excursions through the hotel with ease."

"Great experience here. Only reason for the 4 star overall was because the price is high for what you get, the free breakfast was very limited due to the season we went and the jacuzzi’s were under maintenance so couldn’t be used."
