"Good location with free parking"

"Stayed at The Parkgate Hotel over two nights. Hotel is a short five minute walk from Cardiff Central Station and on arrival, check in was effortless with reception staff explaining all the important amenities and services well, was in no doubt where and what was available during our visit. "The hotel was very nice, parking was simple. And the location was very good - the city centre was on the door step. There was Browns bar and restaurant in the hotel, and this was very good. Nice place if you wish to soak up the city centre atmosphere."

"This was our first holiday after 5 years due to severe illness. We told staff this as it was my sisters 10 year wedding anniversary and my mom's birthday who suffers with MS. They said something special would be organised. Nothing was. I asked at reception which then gave 3 Welsh cakes with happy birthday written on BOTH plates. Really disappointing. We live beetle in the room and gave it in a glass to reception. No glass was replaced. We stayed Executive no robes ( asked 3 times) no wellbeing...

"I booked a double room which was so small. It had a dreadful view over an alley and roof top. So not desirable in any way. The room had a small fan - there is no air conditioning - we roasted - it was so so hot unbearable. With two adults in such a small room with no air-conditioning terrible. What made it worse was that there is a heated towel rail in the bathroom that was permanently on which you could not turn off so the small bathroom was so hot and made the room even worse.
