"Some front desk staff are unhelpful and deny you services that you have already paid for. My room lacked air conditioning; the window hinges were in such poor condition that the window couldn't be opened; and the safe didn't work. I reported these issues, and although I was told a technician would be sent, no one ever arrived. When I requested a room change. I was told I would have to pay an additional $300—after I had already wasted six hours dealing with this. I eventually had to call Expedia...

"Clean room and helpful staff"

"Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Good location"

"Staff were excellent and very helpful"

"Staff very helpful and friendly. Room clean and modern, but did not have enough lighting - was rather dark. Breakfast was good - but restaurant was disappointing, as it offered little choice for evening meal. No Portuguese specialities, as advertised! The attached cafe with lighter breakfasts was very good. Location very good."

"Tolles Hotel."

"Very welcoming staff, plenty of info and advice for things to do. Room clean and tidy and as expected based on images. Small shop in the hotel is handy. I'll also shout out the restaurant evening meal. We rarely eat in the hotel on holiday as want to get out and experience other places - however on one night we had to due to timings and the kids. Honestly the food was fantastic so don't feel like you are sacrificing if you have to do the same!"

"Reasonable hotel for a brief stay, near subway station, in the outskirts. Parking in nearby parkhouse ( extra charge). Good breakfast. Rooms are small but sufficient for a brief stay."
