"Rooms where clean and well maintained. Sadly food was poor, we ate in the restaurant on the first evening, one meal was over cooked while my lamb was very chewey. Breakfast on day 2 was poor, they said it would be cooked to order but it looked and tasted like it had come from the buffet they had just cleared from a coach party. The staff were variable some abrupt and others went through the motions but werent enjoying their jobs??!"
"The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was really clean with a corner bath and large walk in shower. We had a large sitting room also. There was a cute little courtyard outside with a couple of tables and chairs.
The staff were friendly and we had a delicious breakfast in the morning."
"Front Desk and Wait Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and there was a wonderful dinner menu. We ordered starters and mains and all were exceptionally delicious!"
"A good, clean, well-maintained hotel. Kind and helpful staff who were professional. Room was clean and well maintained. Free car parking on-site. Good food and very substantial breakfast."
"Staff were all lovely and also excited to greet our toddler. Lodges were incredibly cozy, worth booking less so in the summer as heating options were available but no cooling options if it's a particularly hot season.
Hot tub was great to relax in after day trips out or if with children and dropping them off at the soft play facility (look to book a time slot in advance).
Pool and gym facilities were well kept and had good options.
A specific bit of praise to Helenann from the cafe for...
"Not sure why folk rated this so high tbh.
The front driveway is really very untidy and unkept in my view.
WiFi in the property absolutely useless in my room (9) .. There are a LOT of WiFi hotspots that flick in and flick out ..I couldn't find the one mentioned in the guest handbook. Whenever I saw the one mentioned at check in it disappeared as quickly as it appeared.
It says there is an airport shuttle and I was told to call a local taxi firm if I wanted to get to the airport!
Breakfast...
"A clean and quiet B&B close to Ayr beach and Pavilion, within walking distance of the town centre. The owner is helpful, just remember to let them know your approximate arrival time."
"Linda as host was absolutely fantastic - the view from our room of the sea and the sunset was gorgeous! The bed was comfy, the room was quiet and my husband loved the shower!!!!! Absolutely stay again!!!"
