"A lovely building, conveniently located for the city centre. The food was good and the staff were helpful and cheerful. A great place to stay!"

"For a Marriott it was pretty poorly. Got an upgrade to a room with a name, but the sink was cracked, holes in the towels, terrible pillows"

"Hotel is welcoming of pets but dog friendly rooms are on the second floor or above and there's no lift so it's a trek during the night to take your dog downstairs to do it's business."

"We did not have time to use the hot tub unfortunately and we did not look for shops nearby but we had no need anyway."

"Very well presented hotel, excellent cleanliness and overall standard. Minor comment - bar overlit for relaxing evening drink. "

"Really didn't enjoy our stay. The room was dirty especially around the windows and in poor state of repair with multiple chips in the basin. We had to climb a very old spiral staircase to get to the room which would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. Finally we were given a choice of breakfast either at 7.15 am or 10.15 and nothing was available in between."

"Spotless room lovely staff everything you need close by within walking distance shops restaurants pubs just be careful at night time I wouldn’t recommend going out alone "
