"This was our third visit to the Fisherman's Cot and the first time for an overnight stay. There is a good selection of food at reasonable prices and very good breakfast. Staff were friendly and polite.
We stayed in an annex which was OK but the outside fabric of the building is in need of renovation. Room was fine and clean, although bath panel was heavily water damaged. There is scope to improve decor (pictures on the wall for example) to give a more homely feel"
"Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room we had (family room) was tired and well used.
Poorly set out, occupants of the double room had to go through the twin room to access the bath room.
Unfortunately very noisy hot and smelly due the kitchen extractor fan located outside the bedroom window.
Breakfast although served by helpful waitress was poor, I x small rasher of bacon, a small what looked like and tasted like cheap brand sausage.
Toast was thin tasteless cheap (45p) supermarket...
"Attending a wedding there. Stayed there for 3 days. Room was clean. Staff were excellent. Good breakfast unfortunately, the room had no air conditioning being downstairs. You had to be careful about leaving the window open, would we stay there again? Yes"
"Great staff and owners. Very welcoming. Property is dirty and scruffy in the communal areas/outside. Needs a tidy up and regular maintenance/cleaning.
Would stay again due to service and food"
"Amazing place, people accommodation and food, and let’s not forget the farm shop! I won’t go in to detail just go stay there and see for yourself. Truly wonderful and will be back one day. Thanks Ian 👍"
"The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, this farm is a fabulous escape and more !
The lodge was clean and well equipped and had the added luxury of a hot tub.
We didnt try the axe throwing or the archery but we will be back so who knows"
"Beautiful setting, full of character. Wonderfully welcoming and helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful. Excellent breakfast! The regular menu is also excellent. A nice respite in a busy world!"
"Excellent attention to detail. The Landlord and his team were extremely friendly, helpful and nothing was too much bother. Free parking was an added bonus."
"The owner was very friendly and the property was an interesting old building. However, our room was a bit out-dated and the shower unit was a bit mouldy. Also, breakfast was a bit disappointing with powdered scambled eggs and tinned tomatoes."
"Room was well furnished and had everything we needed including a bottle opener, wine glass, even a hot water bottle! Bed was comfy and there was a really useful folder of info in the room, the owner had included a few suggested walks around the property which was great and we did one of them just to stretch our legs.
Ample parking, and the property was very well kept, no issues with noise or anything from the farm we were attached to.
Loved the fact the owner offered proper milk for the rooms...
"A great find. Lovely country pub with unique stable block accommodation. Big rooms.
The food at dinner was amazing. The Caribbean choices were outstanding.
Buddy and Kate are very attentive and friendly.
If we are ever back in the area we will definitely return."
