"Stephen was a wonderful host showing us our room on arrival and explaining arrangements there. Room 3 was extremely well appointed with our own entrance and outdoor space. The small kitchen area included a microwave great for a cosy meal in. The continental breakfast was amazing and really set you up for the day. Set in quiet countryside outside Bideford with easy access to local attractions and exploring the countryside. A really relaxing break for us and would definitely recommend staying...

"The check in is only between 5-8:30pm. I arrived at 9pm and luckily I called beforehand and the reception lady waited for me. The staff is very friendly. Everything was very clean. The kitchen is big and can allow 3 groups cook at the same time. The surrounding is serene. The river in the front provides natural white noise day and night, good for sleeping. "

We were not notified beforehand and only discovered the lack of towels via a letter that was at the property upon arrival. It stated that we had to pre-book towels for an extra charge per person and they were subject to availability. It was stressful. "Gorgeous cottage with lots of character, low ceilings in areas but you soon learnt to dodge. All part of the character. Stair banister rail stunning character made from drift wood. All rooms on suite so no fighting over bathrooms and a jacuzzi bath downstairs. The owners were very welcoming and full book with instructions on arrival. As well as lots of ideas of places to visit. Fresh milk in the fridge on arrival and the added dry herbs etc in the kitchen added to the homely feel for the week....

"Lovely warm welcome from Hilary and instantly made to feel at home. Food was perfect and Hilary’s homemade marmalade is very special. The peace and quiet is stunning along with the views and wildlife. A perfect get away!"
