However, we were given a very hot top-floor room during 28°C weather, with no air conditioning and windows that barely opened. The fan provided did not help and none of us could sleep. "We arrived at the hotel late afternoon to find the on site car parking full. We parked on the street outside, checked in, and was given a parking permit for the space we used. We were only there for a couple of nights, and didn't need to move the car until we left. The lady at the reception took us up to our room and showed us in. A little quirk of the hotel is that all the rooms have names that begin with a "G", ours was Gleeful. The room was minimally furnished and the bathroom fairly basic....

"Rooms in need of refurbishment bathrooms had mould on ceiling and grout, and toilet stained. Big quiet room and bed and pillows quiet firm. Staff friendly and attentive. Food average. Bar very dated."

"I didn't like this place. First impression: the furniture and fittings were so cheap and nasty. It has the appearance of everything having been chosen from a catalogue, remotely, with the objective of paying the least possible. Second, the staff were miserable and unhelpful; no one smiled, they just seemed to moan among themselves (although in fairness I would probably be miserable if I had to work there). "I stayed on a business trip. The hotel was perfect. It was very comfortable and all of the staff I met were really great. The evening meal was delicious, as was the freshly made full fried breakfast. So much better in every way to the Premier Inns that I normally stay in for work. And….its on the beach so the best end to my long drive was having a beer looking at the sea. I don’t know if I’m going to be back down that way again, but if I am will definitely stay at this hotel."
