"The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and spoilt. The room was large enough of four and was clean and practical. "

"Spent three nights at Bedford Lodge. Pleasant stay, few niggles. Breakfast on two occasions were either under or overcooked so influenced our decision on evening dining. No handy charging points by the bed. I would suggest a location set up for coach parties visiting the racing and weddings rather than couples."

"Not quite an old hotel, but not modern either. Best things are the rooftop terrace view and location near several colleges and the Cam River. Six Restaurant also has a spectacular view on the 6th floor. Not much of a lobby, which presents an issue if you want to wait, but it is possible to use one of the restaurants or the terrace. "

"This is the 3rd time staying and yet again it was great, no matter the number of nights you need to stay you will not be disappointed. The rooms are spot on with all you need,the bar is great & food very nice. To top it off the staff are all fantastic and make the stay. Will 100% be using again in the future."

"Wonderful hotel, such a beautiful old building. Food was delicious, we ate in the brasserie and had breakfast each morning in the gallery restaurant. The staff were spot on, very helpful and attentive. Lavenham itself is a very picturesque village, you feel you have been transported back to another era. Would definitely stay again. "
