"Generally speaking, we enjoyed our stay at the Sandman. We had a great northern view of the city and mountains, loved the cozy bathrobes provided, took advantage of the reasonably priced Shark Club restaurant attached, and appreciated the close proximity to many walkable sites. The pool and hot tub were also clean and enjoyable. While we were able to store our luggage early, we returned twice to check-in a bit early, only to find that we couldn’t and did not receive the ‘special corner room’ that one desk clerk promised, who appreciated that we were staying for seven nights. Upon entering our room, we were satisfied with the cleanliness but did discover some housecleaning issues that had not been addressed. This was reported to the front desk. And one day when we requested that our room be refreshed - and we were away for 5 hours - we returned to find that our room had not been cleaned. New coffee packets were grabbed from the cart in the hallway. A suggestion would be to move the noisy vending and ice machines into a separate alcove, away from the rooms so as to provide more peace and quiet. Overall, a nice stay. "

"I actually had the worst experience at this establishment! The front desk people told us where to park and we got a $98 ticket parking In The garage above our room! When we were checking out they told us they don’t own that lot. So why did you tell me to park there and they said you weren’t told that! The Buffet food was disgusting I threw up twice after eating there. The Casino food was also gross. It’s sad to say that the best food around the hotel is McDonald’s and Costco! I will say that Gordan Ramsey’s place in the hotel was good. The best steak I’ve ever had! Delicious! But the management wasn’t all that pleasant. There was a misunderstanding that was handled terribly until we asked for a different person to talk to. Our waiter was great and the second management person was pleased but we still asked for our check and finished our dinner in the room because we felt unwelcome! Honestly this was my first time to Canada and if this is how it is……..,,,,, I probably will NEVER FO BACK! "
