"We loved this property and area as a whole and to be in Sherborne was fantastic anyway, and so close to the Abbey was beautiful in itself. The in-house staff were brilliant and very helpful too with anything we needed, but I’m afraid the general up keep of the building and facilities in Room 1 (family size) were poor in places like broken fixtures and fittings etc, like the cracked toilet seat lid, the broken (and not working) shaving light and shaver power socket on the mirror in the bathroom...
"The hotel spa was dirty and had dead flies everywhere in and around the pool. There was a light hanging down from the ceiling in the steam room. Multiple lights smashed in the carpark. We also didn’t have any towels in our room upon arrival."
"A nice stay. A lovely pub right in the middle of Frome. We stayed here to go to an event at the Cheese and Grain which was perfect. Just be aware that as the rooms are part of an active pub you may get some noise on busier nights"

"We loved it. The George is so warm and welcoming (as opposed to perfect & swanky). The landlady was very friendly and eager to make sure we were happy and that attitude ran through all the staff who were all very kind. Dinner by the river was a highlight. The village doesn't have a lot of entertainment but it's charming and you can while away some time feeding the ducks at the castle (the shop sells duck feed)."

The Horseshoe Inn is the type of place where you are immediately treated as family, and you don't want to leave at the end of your stay because you're afraid no one else would do it any better. Jamie and Rob do everything, from preparing and cooking all their menu items from scratch, chatting up their regular pub...
