"It was an Anniversary break, and this was specifically referenced in the booking ..... but it was not acknowledged in anyway when we arrived at the hotel, which for a Hilton hotel is very rare. The hotel was very noisey, as they were getting ready for a concert, which was not mentioned when booking. We have stayed at the hotel many, many times .... but this stay was distinctly average."

"Staying in the classical style rooms in the main hotel is definitely the way to go here. Our room was spacious, charmingly appointed, and quiet. It's a bit of a walk into central Oxford, but we found this a welcome respite from the noise in the center. Would recommend to friends."

"We booked to stay someone at Stony Stratford my old home 40 years ago. To show my husband around and the. Visit Friends. The hotel was very comfortable, the staff were all really friendly. The food was, to our suprise delicious! We courgette into the restaurant the evening we arrived due to 2 wedding parties being in residence. So a bar burger it was. I’m not a burger person but was hungry. It was Delicious! The breakfast was also very yay and kept refilled regularly. Well done chef!"

We went for a drink in the bar & receptionist said she would phone when ready. As we were attending a function from 14:00-18:00 3 miles away we waited until 17:25 but room was still not ready. "We stayed for one night in a club room which was very spacious clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the generous freebies too. I was a member of the leisure club since the hotel opened but I haven’t been back for ten years. I did feel not a lot had changed. The decor is dated now but still clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable. The pool facilities are still really lovely, even though I can see in places an update is needed. I would definitely stay again in this busy hotel...
