"Our booking was made in February 2026 and we arrived to find we were not staying in the hotel but in an adjacent building 100 yards away which housed apartments. The weekend was to celebrate my 80th birthday and luckily I am sufficiently agile to overcome the steps getting into the apartment. It could possibly have been more convenient and cheaper to have booked a nearby travel lodge."

It was a small room which was to be expected Strangely there was a step up to the bathroom and this had a glow in the dark sign that was annoying at night A few little bits that could have been better. No plug near the desk to make tea had to use bedside table, door stop needed repairing in bathroom. But all minor. The spa was a nice addition. Nice location in Harrogate."

"We enjoyed our visit and the staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms could have been cleaner. The building is old and it shows. Lots of toothpaste splatter on the wall next to sink, dirty paint, worn out carpet and you can hear noise from hallway. We had a great time and location was perfect."

"The location is excellent. The hotel is generally nice but if you look closely is a bit grubby in places -skirtings, behind the doors and daily room service. The shower was over a bath and it was very deep which made it difficult to get in and out. There was an aircon unit which was so noisy it couldn't be used. Breakfast was good and overall we had a good stay."

"We had a lovely weekend stay at this hotel, which is only a 10 minute walk from the city centre and close to York’s many attractions. Our air conditioned room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities, dressing table, hairdryer, iron, tv and plenty of power sockets. The en-suite had a spacious walk-in shower and toiletries were included. We used the hotel restaurant in the evenings and our meals were both well presented and delicious. "The hotel was very clean and the staff were very welcoming not a good selection of draught beers but some in bottles and wine and spirits. The evening food was expensive but good but the breakfast was really marvellous. Bedroom was clean and very comfortable with king size bed and tea and coffee making facilities. Car parking is available but first come first served."

"Firstly what a prefect hotel for discovering York, only 5 minutes walk to town, the hotel is well maintained and the tapas menu and presentation is excellent, you would struggle to find standard higher to be honest!
