"It's a nice property but the parking lot is not obvious. Furthermore, if you do park there, you need to walk quite a distance around the building to check in at the front desk. It's not convenient. Hotel employees can enter from a rear door facing the parking lot. Why not residents too?? We ate dinner on property and it was good enough. Not excellent, but good"

"Lovely break away overnight for me and sisters birthday had lovely time all staff very welcome and friendly. Evening meal was excellent and breakfast was good choice to choose from. Room was excellent bed very comfy and looked out onto trees which was lovely seeing birds and squirrels couldn’t have asked for a better night away. Having mobility issues i found no problems with getting around hotel with walking aid . Thank you for a lovely stay . "

"Pleasant location, nice room and view. A pity about the rather dark and battered - definitely not English- furniture. Why do so many hotels in a historic building go to the far east for poor copies of antique items ? Plugs in awkward positions as well. However reasonable value for money."

"Last minute booking as Hotels.com had double booked me and was stranded after driving 2 hours to get to original booking. Healing Manor is a character building which has all that you need with a restaurant, bar area and nice garden area...i do question the '36 Acre' manicured gardens statement as this is limited to outside the restaurant area unless clambering around the overgrown areas by the pond area is part of this. Generally a very good stay, unfortunately there was a wedding booked in...

"Very beautiful castle with lovely grounds. I was able to check in early and the staff were very friendly. The rooms are big and have everything needed. There was a bit of wear and tear in the room (carpet and shower tiles) but other than that no problems. "

"Had a very enjoyable stay, the room was fantastic we had a suite with a huge bath tub, I am 6’ 3 so struggle to fit most tubs but this one had plenty of room for two! The trip was made even better by the lovely weather so we got full use of the hotel’s fabulous outdoor pool which was lovely so clean and warm too. All in all we had a great stay "

"We arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon in our 1936 Riley. All the parking spaces were occupied. The landlord moved his own car further away so we could park our car so it could be seen from our room. The breakfasts were good. An altogether comfortable stay."

"A lovely stay in a cute old stable. Lovely provision of cereal, bread, butter, milk and coffee (including some for the cafetière for those like me who don’t drink instant). The fridge has a small freezer at the top which is great. The living room is double height and very comfy with underfloor heating, the bedroom is upstairs on the mezzanine. The owners have really thought about the things you need when staying away in self-catered accommodation and it shows! 10/10"
