"We had a lovely time, really nice hotel, there is a convenient car park over the road, the only down side for us was it was a really hot weekend and the room didnt have air conditioning so it was very uncomfortable through the night and drinks were very expensive, although we would still return."

The room was comfortable, the hotel has a nice atmosphere, and I paid for one of the top-tier rooms expecting a premium experience consistent with previous stays I’ve had not only here, but at other Hotel du Vin properties across the country. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by an issue involving my vehicle during the stay, which has since cost me more than £30 in car washes, over an hour...

"Highlights: helpful, friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Effective ac unit in room Low points: room (#55) was in desperate need of renovation. Only the ac unit in the bedroom worked .. the one in the lounge area (where our kids slept) didn't work. Gym was very small."

"All the staff we dealt with were polite,really helpful and nothing was to much trouble. The room we stayed in was really big, the beds were so comfy. Plenty of parking available. We paid the small amount extra to use the pool, steam room, sauna & jacuzzi, which we concidered good value for money. We also paid extra for the breakfast, which again was good value, with lots of choice. In the bistro you can have a choice of two main meals (excluding the steak, to be fair of which i wasn't bothered...
