"I wasn't sure what to expect before I arrived at the Derby Arms but the initial greeting was warm and sincere. My room was delightful, clean and well appointed with a good sized bathroom with both a bath and a choice of shower heads. For both nights I ate in the restaurant and was served by a charming and efficient waitress. "I stayed at the Tavern for one night Monday 6/10/25 prior to attending a funeral. I had read previous reviews criticising road noise. Whilst it was heard,I didn’t find it an issue at all. Had a good nights sleep in a comfy bed. Superb bathroom- i loved the large soaker tub- hard to find a room with bath these days. Staff were very friendly and food was hot and tasty with portions on the large side! Would definitely stay here again."
