"Good food and drink at the pub that is separate from the accommodation. Slight problem on check in as they had given us a double room instead of a twin, despite sending an email prior to arrival requesting a twin. Staff shortages meant it was a while before the bed situation was sorted but we were in the bar by then so not really an issue. The receptionist was apologetic and keen to resolve the issue so bonus points to her."
"It was easy to find and there was space in the car park which was very convenient. We were given a lovely warm chocolate cookie on arrival and were able to check in by 1.30 pm which was also helpful.
The upstairs bar had a small outdoor balcony with great views over the water. The choice at breakfast was excellent if a little cramped when busy as it was a help yourself.
Great value stay!"
"My room was a lovely suite with its own kitchen and sofa. I think furniture lay out could be changed so you could watch TV from the sofa rather than just the bed.
My TV didn’t work the first night but the staff fixed it the second night, and offered me another room if they couldn’t.
Breakfast was nice and lots of choice. Hot food cooked fresh.
The hotel is more central than I thought so easy to walk into town along the river or even to the large garden centre.
A big downside is my room was...
"A very friendly welcome and staff were always ready to help my partially disabled wife. The meals were excellent and well planned. The hotel was very welcoming and felt homely with such Georgian/ Victorian style ."
"Not enough room for parking unless you have a small car.Code key system for room very hit and miss.
Very nice room when you get in,clean and spacious."
"Fantastic host looked after us incredibly well, the place is right opposite the Lincolnshire county show ground, peaceful and quiet, we had a lovely walk up and down the bridal path.
The host is an artist and showed us her works which is very impressive.
The site has a new sauna and hot tubs for guests to enjoy.
The breakfast was brought to us at the time we chose.
Loved it and would book again if we are in the area."
