"This hotel was in immaculate grounds and the man serving us when we checked in was fantastic - so helpful.
We looked at the pool, which was understandably full of happy kids. The staff informed us that no kids were allowed from 7pm so we delayed our visit to the pool until 7pm. However the pool continued to be full of kids until 7.30pm.
We were then late for dinner so enquired at the restaurant as to what they could offer a gluten-free vegetarian. Apparently only a caesar salad, which was...
"Great stay for the day we spent. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was decent, breakfast was ok. Only negative was that the bed was very hard and caused me body pains the next day"

"Very friendly staff. Close proximity to the port. Okay hotel for a 1-2 night stay, I would not stay longer than two nights. The hotel may not have control, however, the smell of sewer was very strong in the room. Had to keep the bathroom door closed to prevent the smell from permeating the room. The elevators were very dirty, not sure how often they’re cleaned."
"Lovely hotel, nice breakfast and beautiful garden with option to take a walk in the woods.
Be aware if you don't book directly on the website, you will need to pay extra for spa and pool access which is a bit strange considering you are a guest in the hotel.
Pool entry was also timed which is really not great but made sure there are no crowds in the pool."
"The hotel was good but we had an issue with the parking. We had rented a vehicle in London and were dropping it off at South Hampton airport. We parked just long enough to drop off our stuff at the hotel and then returned the vehicle. After we got home we got a parking ticket for that short time. Reached out to the hotel but got no response. Probably would not stay there again."
"The breakfast is very good, the staff are pleasant enough, not outstanding.
But the main issue is the bed, my wife and I were aware that the slats underneath the mattress were collapsing, then suddenly they collapsed.

"Definitely a gem in this cute seaside town. Host was so nice and helpful telling us about things to do in the area. The spa was awesome as well. Love the common areas as well. Room and beds were super comfy and well maintained."

I was very impressed when I booked an evening meal . I had warned them I have numerous food intolerances . I hoped they would have something I could eat so was blown away when I was given a menu especially made for ME !!
Ventnor is quiet and quaint .
Only thing I struggled with was the room was very very warm so sleeping was tricky and it was very small for two ."

Staff were excellent, helpful and friendly and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful.
A tiny fridge would be helpful in the room but over all we had a lovely stay at the Birdham. What a lovely part of the Island Bembridge is, in my opinion the nicest exception apart from the Needles. Bembridge has lovely quiet beaches to visit and we found the people very friendly.

"Our second visit to the hotel and Monty's bar and once again it was extremely good. the staff are very helpful and we can't wait to go back again next year. we chose it because of the location but everything was great. it is an old building with no lift so disabled visitors may find the stairs a challenge but the staff were so helpful with the luggage we managed."
