"A very tired, once charming hotel. In my “deluxe suite” the Roman blind was broken and the room generally had clearly not been decorated for some time. Breakfast was appealing. The choice was exceptionally limited and of poor quality. I ordered scrambled eggs on toast on the disk rat morning. I was served some greasy egg on untoasted, sliced wholemeal bread topped with a fistful of unevenly chopped chives. "Fantastic location! The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean, modern, and very comfortable. The complimentary bottled water and shortbread biscuits in the room were a lovely touch and much appreciated. It was very hot during our stay, but the two good fans provided made a big difference and helped us sleep comfortably. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!"
"Funny story, spotted hotel was for 18+ but hadn’t clocked it’s largely targeting ‘seniors.’ So my wife and I booked to celebrate our 15year anniversary, I’m 41, she’s 39 so considerably younger than almost everyone else there.
That said, still really enjoyed it. Excellent entertainment (80’s band). Nice grounds, very nicely furnished and decorated hotel throughout.
We opted for half board, there is an al a cart option but no vacancies so we tried the buffet diner which was average at best....
