"We had a room with a queen bed. It had a cheap looking gray rug covering the carpet (assume there were stains on the carpet), and the room was otherwise quite plain - none of the regal looking draperies etc that we expected. There were obvious electrical problems in the hallways, as the overhead lights were not working, and there were lamps set up on little tables along the hallway. to provide light but were kind of pain to maneuver suitcases around. The place has potential but was not as grand...

The included breakfast was a bonus, but i have to say the 2 top things that made this a wonderful experience were the 5 course tasting menu and the gentleman that waited on us every day-Jacob! He is spectacular. He was very helpful, extremely informative, and very charming. He checked us into the hotel, made us drinks and then walked us thru each course of the meal, which surprisingly was one of the best meals i have had in a long time- and i just got back from Paris....

"Warm welcome on arrival and a free upgrade o a lovely room. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our comfort and convenience. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff in the dining room very friendly and helpful. Had two meals in Chaplins restaurant and all 4 of us enjoyed our meals, again the staff member was friendly and helpful. "We booked this stay as we planned to do some touring in the highlands. We are so grateful we did. Nairn is a wonderful small town with great people, without the bustle of Inverness. Our hosts were incredible and the property was truly 5 stars! The à la carte breakfast in the morning was a surprise and was delicious. An awesome start to the day! Room was massive and well appointed. Plenty of parking and close to several points of interest. Would absolutely return to see more of what Nairn has to...
