"First, it started out on a bad note. No air conditioning because it was past Oct 1st (3rd). Apparently, in Bologna the city goes into a no heat no coll mode. I found this rather displeasing especially when the outside temperature was near 79 and the sun was shining on our room. The folks at the front desk didn’t seem to eager to find a solution until I insisted on one. After killing them with kindness and building a rapport did a standup office fan get delivered along with a multi outlet...

It’s noisy as the hotel’s on a major street and is located close to a hospital. This meant we heard ambulance sirens quite a bit. The hotel is located about 5 km from the heart of downtown."

"Everything about this hotel made it a perfect fit for our seven night stay. Central location, excellent breakfast, clean facility, and comfortable. More so, the staff was friendly and very helpful with recommendations on restaurants, tour sites, travel to the airport. When we return to Bologna this will be our top choice for lodging. "Buon Hotel and Paolo were perfect for our quick visit to Bologna. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore. Paolo were extremely helpful and provided many recommendations for restaurants and things to do. He also helped arrange a taxi for us to the train station. Would recommend staying here!"
"Only stayed one night in a 3-person room. That style of room is sort of a 2-room setup (one big room divided by a wall that you walk around on one side). The far side of the wall (the sleeping area) does not have a dedicated A/C and required fans to stay cool. But the staff was very helpful in working that out.
