"Pleasant staff greeted us, room was ready so were able to check in 2 hours early.Breakfast included which was a nice surprise. Beds are comfy but staying in room 2 is LOUD. You've got the breakfast room below with chairs scraping the floor and people chatting.The main issue with the room is you can literally hear every movement of the person in the room above due to the horribly old creaky floorboards. Shifting their weight in the shower was a prominent noise maker - early in the morning too so...

"To be honest we were actually dreading this stopover as 3 days prior to this stop we had the misfortune of staying at Niort Ibis Hotel which really you shouldn’t be plugging! ( report explains everything that was wrong). So to be late off the ferry, like several others and greeted so well, the lass in charge couldn’t do enough for us. I believe she got the chef to do a little extra time so we were able to eat. Marvellous."

"Loved the hotel, its facilities and the staff. Didn’t like having to pay £8 to park when anyone using the bar or restaurant could park for free. It felt like a rip off. Didn’t like the rubbish WiFi. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. Ive had a lot better for a lot less money. "

"We had a great time. The staff and owners were lovely. The patio at the back of the hotel was great with amazing views. There was a little traffic noise but it didn’t spoil our stay. Great food. We would definitely recommend staying here."

"I stayed in the largest room on the top floor which has a large comfy bed a desk and a corner sofa for lounging on to watch TV. Bathroom is large with good shower and jacuzzi bath. The view from the room is amazing looking down towards Plymouth Hoe in the distance.Evening meal was delicious (lamb madras) as was full English breakfast. Staff really nice and very friendly "

"I've stayed there twice now on each visit to Plymouth. The rooms have been refreshed, clean and the area is generally fairly quiet. The location means you can walk to the Hoe, Barbican readily, and the Drake Circus is 5 minutes away. If I return to Plymouth, I'd readily come back!! And the staff are great :) "

"We received a warm welcome from Ryan at his 'Community' pub, Ring o'Bells, West Alvington on the outskirts of Kingsbridge. The bedrooms are beside the carpark; access to them is via an open sturdy metal stairway which may be a challenge in adverse weather. The beds with en-suite facilities were clean and well-presented; we all enjoyed a good night's sleep without any distractions. The highlight of the Ring o'Bells is the spectacular Devon countryside overlooking the outskirts of Kingsbridge...

"This was a very relaxing stay in a genuinely picturesque setting. Despite being a pub, it was quiet and I was never disturbed by noise. Only downside was I had difficulty getting WiFi in my room but was able to get it in the main section of the pub. Thank you for the caring hospitality."
