"Great staff, very helpful.
The property needs little upgrade especially toilet( hissing sound ), shower plumbing and room floor( uneven ).
I understand it's a very historical and old building so might be difficult to deal with those issues but thought I would mention them nonetheless."
"The rooms are fine and clean and the hotel is well placed in the centre of the town. The main problems are there is no member of staff on site at the hotel and they don't answer a phone when you call reception. Plus parking is very difficult. You have to sign in on a computer, which works fine but then as soon as you have a question, there is nobody to help - you have to work it out yourself - for instance where is the wifi code - it's nowhere to be found i the room, so you have to go back down...
"A little dated and basic, but was very pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed my spontaneous night here with the dog, staff very kind and helpful. Big cups in the room, with nice biscuits and Yorkshire tea! Very affordable too for the night, would very happily return - given at a services, I didn’t hear the motorway at all! I stayed for convenience, not a ‘need’ and personally for £37 a night, I’d happily go back again!"
"Easy to find and easy to park. Lovely helpful staff. This is a huge pub with a night access door which saves having to keep going through the pub. Plenty of outside tables. Comfortable clean room, but no air con. Everything you need with enough plugs including by the bed. The quilt was very heavy and the room was very warm, so it would be good to have a choice of bedding. Our room was at the front on the first floor and was quite noisy. Fabulous cooked to order breakfast with plenty of other...
"Everything was great. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is very well organized and maintained. It is also an excellent choice for families with children, offering a comfortable and welcoming environment. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it to other travellers."
"Lovely clean large room. Great tv with a superb picture. Plenty of tea / coffee and biscuits welcome tray. We were surprised how quiet our sleep was, the pub below was busy but no sound from it. The decoration of the whole venue is incredible with so much to look at. There is a lot of car spaces but the area is very busy so it’s a bit of a search to find one."
"While the stay was just ok, I was disappointed with the support from the hotel team in getting good wifi in room 20. The mobile network was patchy in this place, and on top of that, the wifi in the room was on and off. It disrupted my planned work. Reporting this to the staff did not help. This place would be my last choice next time."
"It was located in a quiet historic village. The room was nice . Comfy bed , nice shower and bathroom.
An Excellent full breakfast!
And all for a very good price! 🙂"
"We had a lovely stay in a charming old coach house. Staff really friendly and helpful, food was really good. The suite we stayed in was adequate, clean and comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel."
"I understood there was no staff member on site so no complaints there. But we were not sent the check in code and had to make repeated calls to Expedia before this happened. The hotel is conveniently located and does have good parking. The rooms themselves are extremely basic. Not especially clean and with bare minimum of amenities i.e. only 2 pillows in a double room, very thin duvet and no heating so we were cold at night. On balance, I would not recommend or return here again."
"Conveniently situated in delightful toen of Langport. The room was spotless and comfortable. Overlooked the beer garden. There were tea/coffee/hot chocolate-making facilities in the room.
Staff friendly. Check in and out straightforward. Breakfast options limited but good.
Would stay again."
"the staff were happy and cheerful even singing a song as they worked in the kitchen
the food was really good and well priced
we would be very happy to stay again"
"Room was very clean. Furniture very modern and practical. Could have done with a chair to put clothes etc on. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Very knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast menu was excellent. The full english and the scrambled eggs were very tasty. Excellent chef. Bar was well stocked and a good price. Would definitely stay there again."
