"We knew the minute we arrived we were already going to be coming back in the future!
Staff were so lovely and welcoming. Gave us all the information we needed. We had arrived early to leave the car and get the bus into Keswick. A lovely lady on reception took my number so she could ring if the room became ready earlier than the 3pm check in which was really kind!
When we returned she took us to our room and let us know about breakfast etc.
The room was SO clean, fresh and we got settled in...
"Room was very large & clean.
However, the double bed was 2 singles pushed together. Additionally , there was a wheel missing from one corner, which made the bed lopsided, with the mattress overhanging the side. Not at all conducive to a great nights sleep! As the reception is unmanned most of the day we couldn’t even report it!

"Staff were very helpful, hotel was very dated but they were working on updating it. Our room was lovely, fresh white bedding and towels, and tea/coffee. Breakfast was offered however we only wanted toast, all in all worth the money we paid"

"Clean, modern and spacious en-suite room, plus a great location to explore the Lake District. There was a little road noise, but this was not an issue. There are 3 parking spaces at the front of the hotel, but, if these are full, street parking is available until 9.30am with a disc to display (There are no restrictions after 6pm or on a Sunday). Free breakfast is provided - There are several options to choose from and all are of high quality. There is also a small bar, which serves evening meals...
"Clean room. Few spider webs but it is an old property. I personally found bed very soft and uncomfortable. Felt the place was run to suit the staff more than the customer. Food was okay. Had dinner and breakfast. If I’m in the area again it’s not somewhere I’d choose to stay."
