"The location is great with walk way along the river and it is closer to most shops for those that fancy home made food. Lots of parking space and it is secure. Notwithstanding, the Wifi was rubbish. Perhaps this was just something unusual because I told the staff, that I could not use the wifi due to low strength and constant disconnection."

"Lovely hotel, looked recently refurbished and very well situated on the edge of Largs, overlooking the beach, Cumbrae and the highlands and islands in the distance. Staff were all very helpful, breakfast had a good variety of items - both hot and cold, there is a safe, private car park and the bedroom and bathroom were both spotless and comfortable. Regular bus services made for easy travelling up the west coast for the ferry services at Wemyss Bay for Bute and Gourock for Dunoon if you wanted...

"For me this was an ideal hotel to stay in. I don't need all the facilities of a 4 or 5 star. It's small and friendly and all the staff made me feel very welcome. There is excellent parking and the food in the Bar/restaurant is delicious. The hotel is located in a nice area and its quite safe to walk about. There is a little shop across the road as well."

"The stay as a whole was very pleasant. The room, clean, the decor, very nice. My only 'gripe', is that the water pressure for the shower was terrible. I felt I had to run around in the shower to get wet. It was little more than a dribble and I felt I had to stand with my nose against the wall to get under the water. I took ages to have a wash!"
