"The staff were very obliging and helpful, always smiling and approchable. Pleasant lovely to my two bichons always took time to fuss them. A large green to walk my dogs.
The premises were clean and tidy.
Parking was excellent 👌.
Breakfast was lovely and tasty, and plenty of it, a good selection.
First time I've used Purdy Lodge, but will certainly use it again.
Very reasonably priced also.
Also looked out onto green fields.
The only thing I could find was the fact that there were no Subtitles...
"Staff totally dedicated to ensuring the best guest experience. Annemarie was a credit to the place. It was lovely to chat with the owner over breakfast. Both the hospitality tray and breakfast put many other establishments' offerings to shame. The view from room 8 was lovely. We will definitely return. Thank you"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Our room (127) was spacious and well equipped, in a quieter position looking over the car park away from but conveniently located for the main road. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent too. Would definitely recommend and stay here again 👍"
"Breakfast was good for a buffet style hot food.
Room was ok at best. Bathroom was not great with mildew all over the bath / shower and there being clear stains on the towels.
Personally I’d not stay here again"
"Check in was easy and efficient. The room was all that could be expected, plus a few extras. A jar of a variety shortbread biscuits was a surprise along with an extremely varied options for hot drinks, i.e. Horlicks. A bowl of fruit was also an unexpected delight.
The bathroom was well appointed, with shampoo, soap etc in pump pots.
The bed itself was supremely comfortable with more than sufficient coverings. A large fan completed the array of convenience items, really handy with recent weather...
"Let me,start by saying all the staff were absilutely brilliant and friendly. Hitel gowever seems to be in a state or ill repair. Paint falling off walls and ceilings. Curtainscthat didn't close fully. Heating was never on and very cold in am. Carpets filthy. Door to my room was in very bad state. Just think whoever owns this needs to get his finger out and invest in the property and staff. Not good."
"We really enjoyed our stay, the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly and parking was great. We will definitely return when again in this beautiful area of Northumberland."
"Beautiful room with lots of lovely touches including the cookies and the cafeteria coffee. The choice of breakfast was really good and the coffee was great. The staff were attentive and very welcoming and gave us good suggestions of where to go and where was good to eat. A very special place we hope to go back soon.

"The bar & outside area was really good. Lovely beer garden. Staff were very friendly. We did not have breakfast but Dinner menu had a good selection of very tasty food."
"The only thing going for this place was the central location, near to historic sites and restaurants.
The faults were many.
It was advertised as a B&B, but breakfasts had ceased in June of this year.
the room was shabby and claustrophobic.
dust and grime were apparent throughout.
the shower room was cramped and mould was apparent. The shower hose and head were caked in mould.
no hot water available.
the room suffered from dampness and subsequently our clothes were damp after hanging in the...
"Set in beautiful surroundings, full of birds, deer and red squirrels. Room was pleasant, clean and spacious. Lovely friendly gentleman looked after us and gave us great information about the local area. Very peaceful place to stay, great value for money and would definitely stay again"
