"We’ve stayed at the Globe a number of times, and unfortunately this was the worst yet. I think it essentially depends on where you get placed - annex, arch house or in the pub etc, as to what the rooms are like rather than your booking. The room we were in was tiny, thank goodness it was only for one night. The room itself also needs a freshen up/good clean, with splash/dirt marks up the walls and paint chipped.
Wasn’t the best welcome by front of house either, she was very brusque and then...
"Bad start with very tough beef strogonoff but recompensed without debate. Clean and comfortable but dining chairs could do with re padding. Tough 9 hole golf but swimming pool has limited capacity and I missed out. Good breakfast.Useful location near Railway station and plenty parking. Just needs more a bit more effort but enjoyable."

"The restaurant was excellent, Sunday lunch was best I’ve had for a long time so we dined there the following night as well. The breakfast was excellent - the residents breakfast included continental breakfast with ham to carve yourself which melted in your mouth and a choice of hot breakfast - gorgeous eggs royal with generous helping of smoked salmon."
"Everything was great apart from the musical entertainment on Saturday afternoon/evening which Expedia didn't warn us about and which was very intrusive. We cancelled our booking in the restaurant and went to Hunstanton to escape the constant noise.
A shame because we would otherwise recommend the hotel very highly."
"Ik wilde een echt Engels plattelands hotel met een pub. Daaraan heeft dit hotel volledig voldaan. Het bier van het freehouse was uitstekend en de pub maaltijden waren lekker en origineel. De kamer voldeed aan de verwachtingen : teafacility, tv. Prima badkamer. De kamer waar ik in verbleef was buiten het hoofdgebouw. De muren waren zo dik, dat ik geen last heb gehad van het erg warme weer. Ik kan het van harte aanbevelen."

"The room was clean and tidy, staff were pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and varied. The only drawback for us was the lack of a cooked breakfast. I didn't like the continental offering, There was however a fridge in the room. We took our dog with us for which we paid 35 pounds there was nothing provided for the dog"
"This stay was perfect the pub and accommodation offered a warm old fashioned authentic overnight stay for 4 of us in a family room. The staff were kind and friendly and made you feel like an important guest. The home made food was delicious and service was prompt and professional and choice and ingredients very good and traditional. If you are looking for a traditional Norfolk pub stay this would be perfect."

"Lovely stay this week in the massive family room. 4 singles and one double bed in the room and it still felt very spacious. There was also a cupboard with hangers, a fan, tea/coffee making facilities and a huge fridge which came in very handy. Complimentary bottled water was also provided and again was much appreciated given the hot weather.
The en-suite bathroom had an electric shower over the bath. It wasn’t very strong but the water was always hot.

"Great location, but room was in poor condition (mouldy tiles, discoloured toilet seat, cracks & holes in the walls) & not clean. If you have mobility issues, there are lots of steps.Breakfast available if arranged the previous day. Free parking on the road, but spaces are taken quickly"
