" Had a lovely room full of character, and the place itself is set in lovely grounds, check in was easy and seamless. The only minor gripe i would have, would be that at breakfast time which again was excellent, was that the baked beans seemed cold from the serve station. "We used the hotel for somewhere to stay between 3 days at the download festival and the staff were very accommodating and friendly despite how tired and muddy we were. We had a slight issue with our booking and we have never seen more friendly or understanding staff at a hotel. They sorted the issue out fast and the stay was great."

"I think this hotel has got a bad reputation from previous reviews but I think you have to contextualise the market that they target. Clearly it is a budget option and the standards obviously mirror this. Could it be better? Yes of course, but then it would be more expensive. I felt it was very convenient for staying the night after a festival I attended, it had everything and more than I needed e.g. clean sheets, warm heater, excellent fast WiFi, TV, clean bathroom/ toiletries, TV and coffee/tea...
