"The outdoor pool was quite dirty when the bubbles stopped. It was overall clean apart from dead flies etc on the floor around the indoor pool. Staff were nice, man is restaurant made me extremely uncomfortable with sexual innuendos and was very unprofessional. Would have been nice to have the bar open outside the restaurant. The cleaning staff were lovely as were reception. Room itself was nice, parts of the hotel overall were tired. It would have been nice to have replacement spa towels each...
"The room was actually better than I was anticipating given other reviews and the price I paid. Simple standard single. I had a quiet and comfortable night before a work event"
"I was nervous, booking a room which was so inexpensive.
But DELIGHTED with the hotel. Yes, there were reasons the price was low, but FOR ME, it was an *excellent* hotel.
Enormous room by modern standards. All fixtures and fitting working 100%. Very friendly, helpful, professional staff. Lovely towels, bed linen. Immaculately clean, new, fresh.
Delightful location. Stunning NT woodlands and "Devils Punchbowl" only 500' from the hotel. WONDERFUL play area for kids... all manner of things to...
"Lovely welcome from the fabulous member who checked me in! Lovely chap! Unfortunately the room had a strong cabbage aroma when I first entered each day, was directly under the smoking area - the smell of which seeped up into the room, and the door to the bathroom didn’t fully open due to the location of the toilet. The maintenance of the room needed some attention. I wish these standards met that of the welcome I received when I arrived"
"Nice walking distance to Emsworth railway station. Staff friendly and helpful.
An old building which is more of an Inn than a hotel.
Car park is monitored by ANPR system. Patrons of the bar must register their vehicles at the bar (cannot return in less than 2 hours). Hotel guests register when they check in - not aware of any time restrictions.
No breakfast facilities available so I suggest a list of nearby cafes that can offer this being provided."
"This is a gem we intend to return too having only booked one night we did not get to use the pool etc.
The staff were incredibly friendly, both receptionist and especially at breakfast
Yes as people have said you are on a golf course and it feels a bit intrusive overlooking the putting green but thats why there are curtains 🙂
Thank you for such a pleasant stay"
