The thermostatic controls were really stiff and couldn’t be fully used for both hot and cold. The markings for hot and cold faded and difficult to establish which way to turn.

"My favourite East Anglian hotel - recently refurbished, just as friendly and welcoming. As usual there were all sorts here, it's a proper 'local' - good food, good beer, good cheer! Lots of interesting opinions - all topical issues covered and easily overheard. The bar has two tellies now, and I enjoyed watching the end of an ODI (Sri Lanka won), and then some Happy Valley with mein hosts.

"Very clean room but the shower could be improved. It is set into the wall so taller visitors have to bend down to wet their hair. The water was hot so no problems with actually taking a shower once hair was wet. Excellent food and choice of drinks. Staff were friendly and keen to ensure we were served quickly without fuss."
