"This hotel is in a prime location. It’s very old. But a coat of paint clean grout and bedding that had been ironed would make all the difference Drink at the bar was very expensive compared to other bars in the town. Staff were lovely and breakfast wasn’t bad. Although everything had been pre cooked It could be beautiful if the owner just put in a bit of effort "

"We were taking a back roads tour of historic England and this fit the bill perfectly. An old roadside inn near Roman ruins. A good night’s sleep, good food in a quaint small village- everything we could want. The staff was wonderful. "
