"Good central spot in Alice Springs to jump off to other activities. Short walk to grocery and main entertainment area. Beds are comfortable and the showers are plenty hot. It is an older hotel, so reflects the same, but with clean comfortable beds and hot water we were happy. We had the portion of the hotel where the rooms are glass walls to the outdoor hallway, which was fine, but did mean we heard all the chatter outside when some locals decided to stay up all night talking. "THE " Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge " was just such a refreshing place to stay at minimal cost. The staff at reception "LESLIE AND PAGE were so helpful and refreshingly honest in their attitude towards customers and their respective jobs. The cleaning and room preparation was excellent and the cleaning staff were most obliging in providing extra service if there was a requirement.. such as sugar, tea, milk, blankets etc. Kudos to the groundsmen for their efforts to keep all clean and tidy."
