"Centrally located so we were able to walk to many shops and restaurants as well as historic sites. Parking in the back made it easy to drive to other cities and sites. The staff was very accommodating and worked around our schedule for room maintenance."

"Very convenient in the centre of the town. Hotel is quite shabby and could definitely benefit from an update. Upholstery worn on chairs and carpets are well worn in all the public areas and the paintwork is badly in need of redecorating. However the bedrooms were clean and adequate, the staff were lovely and really helpful. We ate our evening meal for 3 nights in the dining room and the food was delicious and service was really good. Breakfast was also really good. Would recommend ."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Stroud Hotel. The staff were welcoming on our arrival and we enjoyed an excellent meal and well prepared cocktails at lunchtime (I can highly recommend the risotto.) There was everything we needed except milk for the room but we were given fresh milk on request which, whilst lovely, wasn’t necessary as small cartons of UHT would have been fine for our short stay. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely return. It’s a lovely place to stay and fortunately...

"Beautiful building and a lovely patio with tables and chairs and beautiful gardens with easy access to the footpath by the canal. There is a nice sitting room with a bar by the entrance. My room was quiet and clean, the bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water for a bath. The only things that weren’t so great: my room was quite dark and the wifi didn’t work at all throughout my stay."

"The room, toilet and bath facilities were clean to a very good standard and the decor was tasteful and restful. We had a lovely view over the Nailsworth Valley. We were well-pleased with the accommodation which suited our needs admirably. The evening meal in the restaurant was nicely presented and was delicious and enjoyable."
