"Stayed for one night on Saturday 17th October.
The accommodation wasn't quite as expected, but a pleasant surprise.
What I thought we were getting was a 'normal' double room. However, it was in fact a whole apartment overlooking the wonderful Minster. The accommodation was very spacious, warm, comfortable and close to all amenities.
The actual building is rather old, which reflected on some of the fixtures and fittings. The windows were the original old sash type and actually opened. However,...
"Very charming staff, great breakfast as well as thoughtful service, sorted a breakfast for my hubby to go and even remembered the order next day. Room was lovely and toasty, just what you need after a frolick in the forest. Slept very well. Lots of walks nearby, even saw owls. EXCEPTIONAL food, rare for these days they cater for folks with proper appetites! Loved the friendly field cat! Thank you for a wonderful time we loved it. 🙏"

"My favourite East Anglian hotel - recently refurbished, just as friendly and welcoming. As usual there were all sorts here, it's a proper 'local' - good food, good beer, good cheer! Lots of interesting opinions - all topical issues covered and easily overheard. The bar has two tellies now, and I enjoyed watching the end of an ODI (Sri Lanka won), and then some Happy Valley with mein hosts.

Cobwebs in bedroom and bathroom plus a long dark hair on my hand towel, which I wiped on my face.
