"I found the Buck Inn to be adequate and comfortable for my overnight stay. The pub is old and in need of renovation, the staff were outstanding and friendly. The bed was comfortable and all linen clean. The all English breakfast was very good, well done."
"Parking was spacious. Large bedroom and huge bed. Breakfast selection brought to the room in the morning was reasonable. Low sugar option would be nice and a small table to eat at rather than one eating on the bed as there was only one chair.
Be aware of tiny steps in the corridor, my husband didn't see one when checking in and carrying luggage and broke his thumb.
There can be some noise from the bar below. Also, on a main road so a large amount of fast moving, noisy traffic. Double glazing...

"Right in the middle of town. Walkable to everywhere you need to go. Staff were very friendly. Room was basic but had everything we needed or wanted! Kettle in the room was great for some tea. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Would def stay here again if I come back to Darlington"

"I've stayed here, overnight, on two occasions in the last month. During both stays I have come down for a continental breakfast either at 7.45am or 8.30am only to find the through door into the breakfast area was locked and no one around to give access. This meant I had to go to a nearby shop to buy breakfast at an extra cost to me even though it was already part of my booking cost. On both occasions complained afterwards to the pub manager and received no apology as he stated breakfast was at...
"Lovely place. This is a rustic place in the middle of nowhere and is fantastic! Worth all the travel. Staff were amazing. Food was superb. I had the giant Yorkshire pudding with beef bourginon. My room was lovely and the bed comfortable. A very welcoming place even for a single traveller like me. I’m definitely going back at some point! Brilliant"

"The Village Inn was the perfect place for a stopover while travelling further south. Ideally located a short distance from Northallerton. Large car park, restaurant with a really good menu choice and very reasonably priced. The room was extremely clean and comfortable with heating you can control yourself. Powerful shower and very hot water. Breakfast was great, with choices of full English, Vegan, cereals etc.
I would highly recommend the Village Inn to everybody looking for somewhere to stay...
