"We made a last minute booking and the hotel was able to have our room ready in just a couple of hours. For the price we paid the hotel room was very good, clean but slightly dated fittings in the bathroom. The welcome was great."
"We decide to stay at Molton, not York due to the relatively higher price of the York hotel and our trip plan. It proves to be a good choice. The property located in a small and quiet town with about 10-15 minutes walk to the railway station. It may look normal from outside but when you step in, you would be impressed by the warm and cozy atmosphere. The first floor is the restaurant and a bar, with so many selections. The room was super clean and you can tell everything was so well maintained. ...
"I think the hotel is pretty,i like the rustic feel and furniture of the lounge/restaurant area. However the bedroom and bathroom can do with a modern , colourful, light and airy renovation. The bathroom is outdated ,I think they can update this. The staff can improve by being a bit more welcoming, friendly and warm.
Sadly in my room,m was on the ground floor and I was able to hear everything happening upstairs, n on the main corridor,so it was rather hard to sleep. so the place needs thicker...
"The decor of the hotel was dated and didn't reflect the details we saw when booking. The staff were pleasant when we saw someone.
The location was good and easy to find our way around.
Scratch card were available for parking for a reasonable cost."
"Such a lovely hotel , staff are great especially serving, I did like this that special touch , great that you can park just across from the hotel , not much of a walk into Whitby , rooms are spotless, maybe could do with a update but very comfortable thanks for welcoming us"
"The room was described as a “comfort room “ we loved it! It was surprisingly spacious enough, beautiful decor and soft furnishings. The bedding and towels quality were exceptional. Hospitality tray and outlook were lovely.
If I had to give a small negative, there was a slight odour in the bathroom, from probably the cloths/ mops used to clean, a bit “ sweaty socks” type of odour which lingered.
On another practical preference negative, the restaurant is beautiful, ambient and amazing service...
"The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast choice and quality is excellent. I noticed they also offer packed lunches to hikers. Rooms are air conditioned ( although the casing made a cracking sound through the night)
Its dog friendly but we did not bring ours due to an error by expedia.
However i fail to see why a dog was not allowed as the room was so disappointing. The decor was so dark and depressing. Shabby, with dark brown walls and brown carpet. Bedside lamps that you could...
"A staff member advised that the hotel is focused on catering to venues. A wedding was being held when we were staying. We were advised by the hotel in advance but after booking through Expedia. The best parts of the hotel are reserved for the event leaving hotel guests not part of the event to be catered for in poorer situated parts.
On the plus side, the hotel is situated in a stunning location but being on the coast the wind howled outside the room. The overwhelming impression is that guests...
"This is the second time staying at lea’s cottage , & on both times I’ve never been disappointed. rms are spotlessly clean, good choice of breakfast options,& evening meals where exceptional, & all staff are really nice ,would definitely recommend staying at Lea’s cottage & l will definitely return next year"
"We found the staff very friendly, had a lovely meal in the restaurant with the staff very attentive.
The room we were allocated was room 6, a cozy double room even so a chair of some kind would have been useful and yes there was enough room for one.
It had a great shower but a shelf in the cubicle would be of great advantage.
It would have been helpful to be advised in the advertising of the room that the window in the room was frosted so there were no views from the room."
