"The reception area and fitness suite are newly renovated, but the rooms are a very different story. The rooms are incredibly dated and furnishings are very tired. The beds were thin so you could feel the springs, the TV was very old and the ironing board was torn up. The bathroom is particular is in desperate need of a refresh, while it was clean, the sink and showers were very old. Towels were very old and were stained.
Positives are the location is great - very close to high street and train...
"when the hotel was booked it came with secure off road parking this turned out to be a load of rubbish so didnt do the trip and will never book with you again and i advise others to do there homework before booking this hotel and any other hotels with you and do not also use the insurance its not worth it just a way of getting more money from you"
"Large corporate hotel. Decor is a bit old fashioned and dated, but very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Couldn’t fault it. Reception closes at 10pm so contact them if you are arriving late. Large car park."
"The hotel is old and looks neglected .The rooms are clean and functional, nothing more. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bar area is nice and spacious with a good selection of food and drinks. Breakfast is definitely the highlight with a good selection of continental and hot food. The service was good. The lift is dodgy. Gardens and grounds can do with some maintenance and a clean up."
"Nice hotel , nice garden with places to sit in among the ducks. Clean rooms . Bit unsure on how to get into the model village on site , no information on it anywhere. Got to the gate only to find you needed a ticket from reception which is a good way back up hill so didn’t bother. Sign at reception would have been a good idea.
Lovely receptionist when we checked in but the one in the morning was so miserable, never smiled and just seemed like she didn’t want to be there .

"The stay was extremely good value for money. Beautiful views over Morecambe Bay. Staff v helpful and food in restaurant tasty. You pay to park at car park separately but its directly in front of hotel. Room clean but could do with some upgrading."
"Hotel is in good location. Close to rail station and verious bus stop, restaurants etc.
I arrived early and my room was ready so that was great 👍 and I was really happy about it.
The problem is that building is closed during the day and no one around to help if something goes wrong.
When I arrived to the hotel on my second night I find out that my bathroom light is not working. Manager has sent 2 staff members but they couldn't help so I didn't have light there at all.

"Decent for the price, breakfast selection hardly a buffet, only option being individual pots of what makes up an English breakfast. Rooms spacious yet walls very thin and the light from under the door is noticeable, staff were somewhat attentive ."
"I was happy with the politeness and great customer service from the bar man who checked me in he was really friendly and helpful. This creates a great first impression. I have stayed before and it’s nice and central and the free breakfast they leave for you is a lovely gesture. I will come back."
"Sorry to complain but I think there should be a handrail on the outside steps leading down to the patio and I would have liked a small drinks fridge in the room , apart from these I have no more complaints G & P Edwards"
