"Staff was real freindly, the taphouse and room was beautiful, very old school feel to it and its Historic value, spent 6 hours in the room, made use of the 100+ available channels on the TV, wifi secure and fast, room temperature was excellent.
Would reccomend and will be visiting again next year.

"A quaint old fashioned inn. Amenities a bit dated but all functioning. Bath with jets was a plus. Loved the provision of bottled water and little biscuits. Breakfast was a lovely continental affair. Only downside was the winding staircases that made taking luggage up and down difficult."

"We stayed in room 5, lovely views down to the river and garden. I can imagine it being a little noisy on a sunny weekend, luckily it was a little cool and rainy so very quiet.
Unfortunately we had no hot water for the whole of our stay and were not offered any compensation or a reduction in the price."
"Lovely old pub off the main road. Staff are helpful, they serve a good pint and the breakfast was first rate. Negative points - the mattress on the king-size bed is too soft and no brewed coffee in the morning. I would stay there again."
"The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places."
"Crazy tight parking, witnessed one lady crawling through the hatch to get to the driving seat to get her car out.
Short staffed, service was slow at the restaurant, took 45 minutes to get a drink, and no they were not busy just untrained people.
Young Chef at breakfast had a bad attitude, slamming down dishes and cutlery, completely put me and family off of breakfast.
Good location for walking the town of Shrewsbury, and the bus station is next door, so you don't have to unwedge your car from...
"This was my first time staying here or even being in Shrewsbury and I can honestly say it was fantastic. The staff were so kind and welcoming, and able to give me suggestions on places to visit during my stay. The breakfast was fantastic and food served during the day was also amazing. Room was lovely and clean and a good size. My only problem was the mattress on the bed was so hard it was difficult to sleep. Other than that thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would stay again. Thank you to all staff"
