"We stayed for one night. It was a little warm in the room, but we discovered a fan in the cupboard. Generally a comfortable stay in a good location to get to a show at Theatre Severn. Plenty of restaurants nearby too.
Parking was an essential and at £5 per night was reasonable. We hear the hotel is changing hands soon. I hope the standards are kept high."
"Nice and clean room in historic building with modern bathroom (nice big shower).
Well appointed, with bedside lights (one each side of the bed) and plenty of USB power sockets (A & C) both sides of the bed. Additional plug-in electric radiator provided, and tea/coffee/kettle with a couple of small packets of biscuits too. Very convenient for visiting Shrewsbury on foot, and not far from the railway station."
"Great little inn over the river from the main part of Shrewsbury so much quieter. Easy walking into town just over the bridge. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Nepalese restaurant as part of the premises. Good food at a reasonable price. Onsite parking is a bonus."
"Well where do I start, the staff were excellent as they were so helpful, caring and very friendly. The hotel had a great atmosphere and the food was excellent as well as being very tasty. Being treated by the cat was lovely as it was so friendly and waited for us at the top of the stairs when we came to our room. So much looking at planning to go back for another visit."
"The property is unique stairs are narrow but there is a lift. Breakfasts are good but what a performance to pay for them.Breakfasts should be included in price like most establishments.Nice touch to offer a free drink in exchange for not servicing room."
"Crazy tight parking, witnessed one lady crawling through the hatch to get to the driving seat to get her car out.
Short staffed, service was slow at the restaurant, took 45 minutes to get a drink, and no they were not busy just untrained people.
Young Chef at breakfast had a bad attitude, slamming down dishes and cutlery, completely put me and family off of breakfast.
Good location for walking the town of Shrewsbury, and the bus station is next door, so you don't have to unwedge your car from...
"Good location if attending wedding at Burlton Manor.
Pub was nice but unable to eat there during our stay as was told food wouldn't be served until 6.30pm and we had a wedding to attend at 7pm.
Room was freezing cold- asked staff for heating on but was told its on a timer to come on after 5pm so spent the first hour after checking in at 4pm in the pub. Radiators didnt actually come on until around 5.45pm after informing staff again that it still wasnt on. Breakfast was small contenental...
